This acoustic version of the Half An Orange track ‘Stems’ is a gentle, lyrically focussed version of their well-received tune. Rather than the typical approach to an acoustic version of a track where chords are quickly translated on to a guitar or piano, production value is still very much a focus here. The acoustic guitar and piano are still prominent, but treated backing vocals, detailed percussion and synth lines maintain the unique tone of the original. Of the lyrics’ initial inspiration, the band say "I went to a party hosted by a trap house. The house was this old mansion that in its prime must have been beautiful. The house was falling apart and slowly dying. At the party I saw a lot of young people addicted to drugs. They, like the house, were withering away". -Dan Peeke
